Pay Rate$22.48/hour starting pay + a $14 weekly scheduling premium
Category/ShiftMonday-Friday (4 of the 5 days) 10 hour shifts
7am-5:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch period
The Role
The Storeroom Technician is an entry level role that provides continuous materials/inventory support and management for Optimization, Process, Manufacturing Support and Administrative Teams.
About You:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Inventory management control (stage, kit, order, receiving, shipping, catalog, location I.D., stock, re-order, issue, etc.).
- Maintains material inventory systems.
- SAP Materials – duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist setting up new inventory items
- Assist converting temporary numbers to IP standard material numbers
- Set up/assign bin locations
- Continuous inventory improvement: addition, reduction, change, and disposal.
- Maintains cost effective and efficient service to all areas of the mill.
- Maintains equipment – daily checklists.
- Operates mobile equipment as necessary, i.e. delivery cart, fork truck, company delivery/pick-up truck, etc.
- Assists with maintaining Repairable Assets – duties include but are not limited to:
- Work with Management, Planners, and Process Owners to determine where equipment should be shipped for repairs.
- Maintain status report of all repairable assets. The report should include the item #, its current physical location, its status (pending approval, waiting on core, waiting to be shipped, currently being repaired, etc…).
- Maintain tagging system for items coming in as repairable and repairable assets areas.
- Prepare for and arrange for the shipment of repairable assets as needed
- Maintains Stores security procedures (instruction and enforcement).
- Coaches safety in others and leads by example.
- Understands and meets internal and external customer requirements.
- Develops, maintains, and uses reliable methods for all processes and their improvements.
- Fullfill area specific 5S expectations(5 Minute 5S Checklists, replenishment of tools and supplies, 5S Audits,etc).
- Assists other team members in the mill as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain quality.
- Maintains and develops team relationships.
- Develops cross-functional process skills.
- Flows to work as needed.
- Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) related to the tasks.
- Must be able to wear all required safety equipment including eye protection, hearing protection, and fall protection in elevated positions
- Heat in excess of 100 F or Cold below 0 F
- Occasionally ascends/descends stairs, ladders.
- Frequent walking and standing.

Up to 50 pounds. - Carrying:

Upper body mobility in order to drive forklift. - Some assignments require kneeling, crouching and twisting while handling Stores inventory.
- Ability to work in a HWPS team environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control methods and procedures.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of reconciliation process.
- Proven record of Safe Work Practices.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Working knowledge of computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office and SAP).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing equipment and parts.
- Experience with SAP.
- General accounting knowledge for inventory and P-Card reconciliation.
- Two to three years stores or warehouse/receiving experience.
- Forklift Operator’s Certification or equivalent experience
- Experience in a team-based, customer and quality focused organization.
