What You'll Earn $44.00–$48.00 per hour depending on experience $1.50 per hour swing shift differential $2.00 per hour graveyard shift differential

Overtime paid at time-and-a-half $2,500+ referral bonuses

Profit sharing up to 3%401(k) with 100% employer match on the first 6% of contributions, fully vested on day one

This is not entry-level production work. This is a critical maintenance role responsible for keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Click to Explore Career Paths What You'll DoAs a Millwright, you are responsible for ensuring mill equipment runs safely, reliably, and efficiently. Your day-to-day work includes:

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life Maintain, install, repair, improve, and troubleshoot mill machinery including conveyor systems, saws, kilns, and de-barkers

Diagnose machine performance issues and implement corrective solutions

Technical Expertise:

Read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints

Perform welding and fabrication to repair and modify equipment components

Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Work alongside electricians on electrical systems and components

Evaluate and test equipment efficiency, recommending improvements

Documentation & Communication:

Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, parts inventory, and closing reports

Proactively communicate with all departments to ensure proper operation of equipment

Regularly educate maintenance and operations teams on evolving programs

Continuous Improvement:

Continuously evaluate and analyze quality, safety, and production processes

Identify and suggest new approaches or best practices to drive improvement

Partner with machine operators to improve efficiency and reliability

Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs

Safety & Compliance:

Follow and model strict safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards

Make safety in the workplace the number one priority

Work cross-functionally with production and leadership teams to keep the mill operating safely

This is hands-on, technical work in a fast-paced industrial setting where your expertise directly drives uptime, safety, and mill performance.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience

Sawmill operations experience preferred

Technical

Skills:

Proficient in mechanical systems: conveyor systems, saws, kilns, de-barkers

Skilled in welding and fabrication for equipment repair and modification

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints

Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems maintenance and troubleshooting
