Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a material handler, you will be part of the production department supporting the assembly line operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Job Title: Material Handler
Pay Rate: $19.00 – $20.43/hour
Shifts: 2-2-3 schedule (7:00 AM or 7:00 PM start)
Locations: Cary & Durham, NC (multiple openings)
What’s the Job?- Transport, stock, and manage raw materials and finished goods to support manufacturing operations efficiently and accurately.
- Operate pallet jacks and material handling equipment safely to move products throughout the facility and storage areas.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, organized, and staged according to production needs and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment while following all company safety procedures and performing routine equipment care.
- Ability to safely operate (or learn to operate) forklifts and material handling equipment; certification preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended shifts (up to 12 hours).
- Basic math, comprehension, and problem-solving skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attendance, reliability, and willingness to work overtime and follow plant procedures.
