OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator with a minimum of two years of experience to fabricate and weld filtration equipment, piping systems, and structural components. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, independent judgment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate filtration equipment, piping, and structural components using blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Perform welding tasks using GMAW (MIG) and FCAW processes
- Interpret and apply AWS welding symbols and standards
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including selecting appropriate wire, shielding gases, wire feed speeds, and voltage for optimal arc performance
- Operate shop equipment such as preheat cutting torches, stud welders, and overhead cranes
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and within required timelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards
- Complete and submit shop work orders, rework reports, and daily labor tracking documentation accurately
- Identify and resolve issues related to drawings, bills of materials, routings, and engineering change notices (ECNs)
- Train and mentor team members on procedures and best practices as needed
- Lead by example by promoting safety, teamwork, and company values
- Support department management in enforcing company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Perform additional duties as required
- Minimum of 2 years of welding/fabrication experience
- Successful completion of AWS 1G unlimited thickness certification or ASME Section IX certification
- Strong knowledge of AWS welding symbols and codes
- Experience with GMAW and FCAW welding processes (required)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Proficiency with fabrication tools and shop equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High sense of urgency, initiative, and accountability
- Basic computer literacy preferred
- Adherence to all safety rules, quality standards, and company procedures is mandatory
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard‑free workspace
- Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and a proactive work ethic
