Description:
The primary role of a Utility Operator at a Biogen is to ensure the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of all critical utility systems that support manufacturing and site operations. By operating and maintaining systems such as boilers, chillers, air compressors, water purification systems, and various gas delivery networks, Utility Operators play an essential part in enabling the production of life‑saving medicines.
Through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and routine inspections, we help maintain the environment and resources necessary for consistent, high‑quality pharmaceutical manufacturing ultimately supporting the mission of delivering vital treatments to patients who depend on them.
What You’ll Do
- Operates plant utilities; medium pressure boilers, chillers, glycol system, air compressors, USP water system, water softeners, RO systems, biowaste inactivation, waste neutralization, WFI stills, clean steam generators and compressed air, oxygen, nitrogen, argon and CO2 gas delivery systems.
- Provide troubleshooting on problem utility equipment for the utility systems.
- Perform rounds in LSM, B24 and Utility room watch.
- Take readings on utility equipment.
