Following the expansion of our US footprint with the acquisition of a new commercial-scale viral vector facility in Durham, North Carolina we have some new opportunities to join us.
We’re currently recruiting a Manufacturing Technician III to join our Manufacturing team. In this role, you will contribute to the buildout and qualification of new manufacturing suites for viral vectors and vaccines, establishing state-of-the-art manufacturing operation, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.
Your responsibilities in this role would be:- Support startup, commissioning, and qualification activities for production equipment within your area of responsibility.
- Contribute to the creation and review of operational documentation, providing technical input and ensuring compliance with cGMP and SOPs.
- Perform manufacturing operations on the production floor, including equipment preparation, process monitoring, and use of benchtop equipment in line with procedures.
- Maintain cGMP standards by following accurate procedures, ensuring cleanliness of the work area, and adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Support team effectiveness by training junior staff, driving continuous process improvements, and escalating product or safety issues when required.
- High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years in cGMP manufacturing environment or Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs and stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours) in a production suite.
- Ability to gown and gain entry to manufacturing areas.
- Flexibility to work weekends, including holidays, as scheduled.
- Desired but not essential would be experience in Gene Therapy operations and training experience.
