Manufacturing Engineer, CNC Machinist
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes, including tooling, fixturing, and offsets.
- Create, modify, or troubleshoot CNC programs using CAM software or G-code.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
- Perform first article inspections and adjust programs as needed using micrometers and calipers.
- Optimize machining parameters for quality, efficiency, and tool life.
- Conduct in process and final inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Document machining data and collaborate with Engineering and Quality.
- 3D Printing experience, a plus.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational training, apprenticeship in CNC machining, or technical degree in machining is preferred.
Knowledge and
Skills:
- 2-5 years related machining experience.
- Experience in reading and interpreting imperial and metric engineering drawings.
- Ability to solve problems and analyze data.
- Takes initiative and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented with strong organization skills.
- Self-confident, approachable, and professional in interaction with others.
- Strong people skills with the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Knowledgeable of safety protocols and procedures in a machine shop setting.
