Position: Engineer - Midtown, NC (Custom Architectural Millwork & Casework MFG

Job
Starting Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

Summary

We are seeking to add to our Engineering staff. Our engineers create 2D Shop Drawings of client’s millwork from architectural drawings using Microvellum, review designs using Revu-Bluebeam, test the validity of millwork designs, optimize designs for production, generate panel saw optimizations using Cut Rite, create programs for single-part and nesting-based CNCs, and use WoodWOP to manage CNC operations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and installers to ensure project success.
  • Create detailed 2D shop drawings from architectural plans using Microvellum via AutoCAD.
  • Maintain drawing revisions, engineering documentation, and production standards.
  • Evaluate millwork designs for accuracy, feasibility, and production efficiency.
  • Develop CNC programs for single-part and nesting-based machines.
  • Optimize material layouts and panel saw operations using Cut Rite.
  • Manage and support CNC operations using WoodWOP software.
  • Review and verify project designs using Bluebeam Revu.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in millwork, cabinetry, woodworking, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Proficiency with Microvellum, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Cut Rite, and/or WoodWOP preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
