BGA Re-work Technician

Join our team in Durham, NC, a vibrant city known for its rich history, diverse culture, and thriving tech scene. As a BGA Re-work Technician, you will be responsible for reworking PCBAs and components, performing a variety of duties in accordance with your training, experience, and skills. You will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Review the daily rework schedule with the manufacturing supervisor.
  • Perform repairs on PCBs based on the daily schedule.
  • Validate materials and required documentation for work orders.
  • Train new hires on SOPs and other procedures as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Skilled at removing parts from PCBAs and using solder equipment.
  • Proficient in hand soldering, including jumper wires.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders and manufacturing instructions.
  • Accuracy in documentation.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Ability to solve practical problems using common sense.
  • Maintain courteous, professional, and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1.5 years of extensive BGA rework experience, with BGA rework comprising 90%-100% of daily activities in a professional environment.
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
