Position: Process Technician - Formulation/Filling/Material Prep (Nights)

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate highly automated equipment used to fill syringes.
  • Model current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
  • Learn the formulation operation initially, then transition into an operator role in Filling or Material Prep depending on departmental needs.
Key Objectives
  • Adhere to RTP Plant safety policies and procedures; contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and current cGMPs to ensure product quality.
  • Support leadership on the manufacturing floor by maintaining safety, quality, and productivity; monitor documentation and product quality; document activities and report issues to supervision.
  • Support leadership during troubleshooting; serve as a reliable point of contact for issue escalation.
  • Assist the Supervisor with development and training of shift operators.
  • Drive departmental objectives: improve safety performance, reduce deviations, improve productivity, and ensure training compliance.
Basic Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work night shift on a rotational schedule (2-2-3).
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Ability to wear safety equipment (e.g., safety glasses, safety shoes, protective gloves).
  • Ability to work in a restricted environment (classified clean room) for extended periods.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge in accordance with governing procedures.
  • Effective written and verbal communication; flexibility and problem‑solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills (desktop software).
  • Full‑time authorization to work in the United States;

Preferred Skills/Preferences
  • Scientific/technical degrees or certifications.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs.
  • Previous experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release.
  • Previous experience using solution filling equipment and/or isolator technology.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Compensation & Benefits

Anticipated wage: $17.30 - $34.38.
