** Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.

* Essential Functions:

Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:
* Maintain a preventive maintenance program to keep downtime to a minimum.
* Thoroughly check every aspect of each machine by doing one each week on a rotating schedule.
* Change oil in all pump stands every quarter.
* Grease all motors, valves, lid rings, and hoists once a month.
* Keep records of repairs to Dye House equipment and maintain repair supplies.
* Follow up on Dye House parts sent out for repair. Make sure the parts are returned to Valdese Weavers.
* Check the following daily: all carbon seals, all pump stands for oil level, all valves for leaks, all dye machines for leaks, all air lines, all steam traps, crimping machine, and all motor couplings.
* Drain air separators on all machines daily. Drain all air tanks daily.
* Shop and Dye House Maintenance Class B

* When work cannot be performed immediately, schedule times for machines to be cut off for repairs.
* Check Avistas and Super Dryer daily for air leaks and correct
* Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.
* Meet deadlines and production quotas.
* Get along with co-workers.
* Follow instructions.
* Work scheduled overtime

Safety:
* Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
* Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
* Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.## Qualifications
* Proficient in reading, writing, and performing basic math skills in the English language.
* Experience in maintenance procedures and good mechanical ability.
* Good physical condition – heavy lifting required.
* At least three years experience in pneumatic controls – electrical and electronic experience/knowledge helpful
* Welding experience (Oxy-fuel, arc, and pipe welding).
* Blueprint reading (mechanical and electrical).
