Role: Production Technician
Location: Durhum NC
Duration: 12 months
Schedule: Night shifts (10:00 PM 6:30 AM), Sunday through Thursday
OverviewThe Production Technician position offers an excellent entry-level opportunity for recent university graduates and experienced individuals interested in production and manufacturing operations for vaccine production. This role involves supporting the manufacturing process through hands‑on activities, including sterile supply assemblies and media formulations, while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Key Responsibilities- Provide all documentation necessary for proper accountability and traceability of products
- Maintain, inventory, and transport all required equipment, materials, supplies, and products
- Perform general maintenance and assist in troubleshooting of equipment
- Identify and address compliance, environmental, safety, and process deviations while notifying appropriate personnel
- Maintain, clean, and prepare equipment used in vaccine production
- Deliver samples and other materials to appropriate laboratories in a timely manner
- Focus on performing housekeeping in all work areas and execute facility decontamination according to procedures
- Self‑motivate to maintain training status
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be comfortable with not smoking during work hours as the client is completely smoke‑free
- Position requires aseptic gowning during job duties, including wearing a beard/moustache cover, hair net, hood, facemask, goggles, jumpsuit, gloves, and boots
- Must be willing and able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs
- Must be willing to be vaccinated/blood tested for titer for products manufactured within the facility
- Must be flexible and willing to work shift schedules, including every other weekend and holidays
- Bio Works Certificate or Bachelors degree in Life Science or Engineering, or an Associates degree in Life Science or Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience in an FDA regulated industry
- Experience with automated systems (MES, SAP, HMI, DeltaV)
- Experience with automated equipment (Autoclave, Washer)
