TIG Welder

This company has a 72,000-sq.ft. North Carolina facility that is home to some of the best in their business. They are people that care deeply about the quality of products they offer and are invested in ensuring water is sustainable for generations to come. They are now looking to expand their business and bring in a TIG Welder!

Summary: The TIG Welder position is a vital member of the Manufacturing Team contributing to our safety culture, providing high productivity, high quality welds, flexibility in assignments, and supporting continuous improvement in the following capacities:

Location: South Charlotte, NC

Hours: Full-time; 40 hours/week

Work Schedule: 1st shift;
Monday-Friday 5:00am-3:30pm

Pay: Starting at $23-$26, depending on level of experience

Responsibilities as the TIG Welder :

• Perform Mig and Tig welds on a variety of thicknesses, sizes, and orientations of equipment
• Read and interpret engineered drawings and job travelers
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Use basic hand tools such as tape measure, level, square, etc.
• Follow established safety and quality policies, procedures, and practices
• Safely use overhead crane and lifting equipment
• Maintain and complete all required documentation and electronic records

Required Qualifications for a TIG Welder :

• Pass the GTAW vertical test, FCAW vertical test
• Positive mindset with high energy and ability to self-manage
• Flexible work hours (standard shift 5:00 – 3:30, M-Th. Friday and Saturday OT as required)
• Ability to lift 75 lb
• Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending, punching, welding, etc.
• Read tape measure
• Perform mathematical calculations required for fabrication
• Understand and comfortable adding and subtracting fractions and decimals
• Basic tool and shop knowledge
