Bracing Channel Operator 2nd shift (Full Time)

Location: Denver, NC

Department: Husky

Payrate: $19.21 to $20.59 +10% shift differential

Hours: 3:30pm to 2:00am Monday - Thursday with Mandatory OT on Friday and Saturday based on a business need.

Perform duties to operate a roll forming machine and cut off shear to form and cut off braces of a variety of sizes and lengths following standard methods and procedures.

Machine operator experience.

Ability to read a tape measure.

• Load coil of steel onto unreeler and position reel in line with rolling mill. Use tig welder to splice beginning of coil to end or preceding strip. Use electric hand sander to clean weld.
• Start machine to feed stock into rolls, through machine to cut off station. Check size, shape and length of parts and check for straightness.
• Make necessary adjustments to automatic cut off for required length and check with tape measure. Start machine for automatic operation and monitor throughout run.
• R ecord production data, steel lot number, documentation of problems and other data as instructed.
• Detect and report equipment malfunctions, unusual situations, other problems to the team leader. Follow all safety rules, regulations and practices. Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.

Perform other similar duties as assigned by operator or supervisor.
