Pharmaceutical Packaging Technician II
United Therapeutics seeks to travel down the corridors of indifference to develop treatments for rare, deadly diseases. We were founded in 1996 by a family seeking a cure for their daughter's pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Today, we have six FDA-approved therapies that treat PAH, pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD) and neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Our near-term pipeline seeks to develop additional therapies for PAH and pulmonary fibrosis (PF).
The cure for end-stage life-threatening diseases like PAH, PH-ILD, PF, and many others is an organ transplant, but only a small percentage of donated organs are available to address the vast need. For this reason, we are working to create manufactured organs to address the shortage of kidneys, hearts, lungs, and livers available for transplant.
The Pharmaceutical Packaging Technician II is responsible for set up, operation and cleaning of all pharmaceutical packaging equipment, including the Filling lines, Blister line, Packaging line and Manual Kitting operations. Support all packaging and kitting operations at the site under moderate supervision, including performance and documentation of start-up checks, in-process checks, equipment adjustments, yield calculations, and batch reconciliations. Ensure operations are completed in full compliance with company SOPs, MBRs, and cGMPs.
Ensure all packaging batch documentation, cleaning records, and labels are complete and accurate. Support the start-up and operation of future packaging equipment and activities under moderate supervision, including vial labeling, tray-loading and unloading, case-packing, and other equipment operation activities as assigned. Act as a backup for a line, assist line lead with tasks, and cover for line lead, as needed.
Assist in the training of new employees. Responsible for strict compliance with all OSHA and company safety policies. Perform changeovers on equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
