The Role:

As a Tool and Die Machinist, you are a skilled, detail-oriented craftsperson entrusted with supporting the planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and repair of tooling, machines, devices, and products for TSN and its sister companies within the building sciences.

This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision measurement, mathematical skill, analytical problem-solving, collaborative communication, and a commitment to safe, high-quality manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain CNC machinery, grinders, lathes, and milling machines.

  • Take precise measurements and perform calculations required for manufacturing.

  • Develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

  • Maintain and repair punch and die tooling.

  • Coordinate with internal departments, including engineering, production, and quality assurance.

  • Maintain detailed records of project progression and equipment maintenance.

Skills and

Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software and machinery.

  • Experience operating grinders, lathes, and milling machines.

  • Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience maintaining and repairing punch and die tooling is preferred.

  • Hands-on experience in a related field is required.
