Operate gravure and multi‑color offset presses to produce single‑color, two‑color, and multi‑color printed work, including large solids, screen tints, line, and halftones.

Responsibilities include:

• Set up, adjust, and maintain a gravure press or multi‑color offset press to meet critical color values and registration requirements.
• Review job specifications and establish press setup according to the imposition of the run.
• Perform make‑ready tasks, such as hanging plates, installing cylinders, and checking plate/cylinder conditions.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments prior to production to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, including minor repairs and replacement of worn parts.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

• Comprehensive knowledge of techniques, procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements for press operation and maintenance.
• Skill in complex manipulations and mechanical procedures for setup, adjustment, routine maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and select appropriate press settings and materials.
• Proficiency in using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates accurately.

National pay range: $27.00 – $45.00 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: $2,000. Compensation may vary by location, education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and other factors.
