Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.
World Relief is seeking a Resettlement and Data Coordinator, a dual role serving in both the Program for Initial Resettlement (PIR) and the Refugee Support Services (RSS) program. The Coordinator carries an individual caseload of newly arrived refugees through PIR and is responsible for data management for the RSS program. This position is grant‑funded and is dependent on continued funding from the federal and state governments.
Note:
This is a full‑time position.
- Provide multi‑faceted case management services to newly arrived refugee and SIV clients.
- Provide essential orientation to life in the United States to promote successful community integration.
- Coordinate permanent housing and furnishings for newly arrived refugees.
- Develop service plans and coordinate services with other service providers.
- Assist newly arrived refugees to access medical care, education for children, and English for adults.
- Provide transportation for refugee clients to/from core appointments.
- Provide cultural orientation classes for newly arrived refugees.
- Assist refugees to apply for and obtain public benefits, including FNS, Medicaid and Cash Assistance.
- Administrative duties including case noting, maintenance of case files, and use of state and WR databases.
- Communication with community partners and/or volunteers as relevant to carrying out core case management services.
- Collaboration with case workers in other WR Durham programs to facilitate employment, financial self‑sufficiency, and holistic health and wellness.
- Document participant services and activities thoroughly and in a timely manner in accordance with program and World Relief requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of all RSS program service data in the North Carolina Refugee Information System (RSS).
- Maintain accurate state and WR databases by updating service data including Family Self‑Sufficiency Plan (FSSP) and employment data.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or required by ORR program guidelines.
- Mature and personal Christian faith.

- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities.
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Relief’s Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals’ For the Health of The Nation document.
- BA/BS in relevant fields such as Social Work, Public Health, or similar degree. Verbal and written fluency in English language.
- High levels of comfort with technology, especially Zoom functions.
