Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, physical exams, and history-taking for acute conditions.
- Diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries, including infections, fractures, lacerations, and minor burns.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X‑rays, EKGs, and laboratory studies.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans based on best practices and patient needs.
- Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, incision and drainage).
- Provide patient education and counseling on treatment options, medications, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and medical staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure documentation compliance.
- Follow urgent care protocols and clinical guidelines to provide efficient and safe care.
