Nurse Manager
Lincoln Community Health Center, Inc., a federally qualified community health center located in Durham, NC is recruiting for a Nurse Manager. Durham is known as the Bull City, the City of Medicine, the Tastiest Town in the South, and the Startup Capital of the South. It’s a two-hour drive from the beach, a three-hour drive from the Blue Ridge Mountains, and is North Carolina’s fourth largest city by population.
Along the East Coast, Durham is located conveniently along I-85.
The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department. This includes managing and leading a team of clinical staff including hiring, training and scheduling, ensuring quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The clinical specialties overseen may include family medicine and/or adult medicine clinical practices.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure quality patient care by monitoring patient outcomes and implementing best practices
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Manage the department budget and ensure financial goals are met
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve department efficiency and effectiveness
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure departmental goals are met
- Current RN license in the state of North Carolina
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
- Minimum of 3 years progressive healthcare management or 5 years of experience in a healthcare management role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with budget management and financial analysis
