The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, CRNA will deliver safe, patient-centered anesthesia services across inpatient and outpatient settings, including OR, OB/L&D, endoscopy, cath lab, and ambulatory surgery. Daily responsibilities include conducting comprehensive preoperative assessments and risk stratification; developing and communicating individualized anesthesia plans; preparing and checking anesthesia machines, airway devices, and medications; inducing, maintaining, and emerging patients from general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care;

performing airway management, ventilatory support, and hemodynamic monitoring; placing peripheral nerve blocks, spinals, and epidurals; managing fluids, blood products, and vasoactive infusions; documenting care in the EMR; collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams; providing postoperative pain management and PACU handoffs; responding to codes and rapid responses; adhering to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards; and participating in call rotation, quality improvement, and patient education.

What's Needed to Succeed:
  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing program
  • Licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA in the state of North Carolina or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Prior working experience in an acute care setting
