Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
$20,000 Commitment Bonus (2 years)
Schedule: Three 12‑hour shifts, full‑time mid shift (3 pm – 3 am)
Location: Maria Parham Medical Center – Henderson, NC
SummaryProvides direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to: Director or Manager of Emergency Department
Essential Functions- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and other medical care activities.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient and family.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
- PALS and ACLS (required).
