Overview
Our affiliate, Unified Women's Healthcare of the Carolinas, is looking for a Full‑Time Certified Nurse Midwife to join their Women’s Health Care Center in Durham, NC. Join a growing, collaborative group of physicians, certified nurse midwives, and women's health nurse practitioners who provide a team approach to patient care within a supportive practice culture.
Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) will be responsible for full‑scope practice including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and well‑woman care. The CNM shares 24/7 hospital coverage with our sister Unified practice in Chapel Hill and will work a 4‑day schedule with a combination of call at the hospital and clinic in the office. Weekday call shifts are normally 12 hours and weekend call shifts can be 12‑ or 24‑hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Provide full‑scope maternity and well‑woman care in clinic and hospital settings.
- Manage 10‑15 deliveries per month.
- Document patient care in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient education in women’s healthcare.
- Maintain a sustainable patient load and support team collaboration.
- Join an established and successful private practice that has served the Raleigh Metro area for over 80 years.
- The practice team includes 7 physicians, 4 certified nurse midwives, 1 nurse practitioner, and 1 physician assistant along with a supportive staff.
- Office locations in Durham and Raleigh. Delivering hospital:

- AMCB Certified Nurse‑Midwife
- Graduate of a nurse‑midwifery education program accredited by ACNM
- Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) certification
- Master’s degree in nursing (MS/MSN)
- Active and unrestricted state registered nurse (RN) license
- Current unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain
- Two years of full‑time Labor & Delivery experience required for new graduate applicants
