Family Nurse Practitioner | On-Site | Family Medicine | Durham, North Carolina

Bull City Family Medicine & Pediatrics, a respected independent primary care practice in Durham, NC, is seeking a full or part-time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative clinical team. We provide comprehensive family medicine and pediatric care with a strong emphasis on continuity, prevention, and whole-person wellness. As an independent practice, we value meaningful provider-patient relationships, clinical autonomy, and a supportive environment where your voice matters.

Position

Highlights
  • 100% Outpatient Family Medicine & Pediatrics
  • Full-time Schedule or part-time (3 days/week)
  • On-Site Role
  • 1 weekend per month required
  • Salary and benefits negotiable based on experience and hours worked
  • Benefits eligibility for clinicians working more than 22 hours/week
  • Modern EHR supporting efficient documentation and care coordination
  • Broad Scope of Practice: preventive care, chronic disease management, acute visits, and pediatric care
  • Supportive Clinical Environment with experienced physicians and long-tenured staff
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient evaluations, physical exams, and medical histories
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
  • Provide patient education and preventive care counseling
  • Document care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Education
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
  • Current North Carolina licensure (or eligibility)
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical judgment
  • Proficiency with EHR systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse patient panel in a fast-paced outpatient setting
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary and benefits negotiable based on experience and hours worked
