Position: NURSE MANAGER, OPERATIONS - PEDIATRIC ECHOCARDIOGRAM

What To Expect

Our team is active in delivering exemplary care for each patient to ensure an excellent patient experience, every time. Duke's two, state-of-the-art pediatric cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs include the latest 3D anatomy-mapping systems. This ensures the greatest precision and least amount of radiation exposure for procedures on the smallest most delicate hearts. We have an excellent team of nurses and techs dedicated to congenital heart disease.

Schedule:

  • Full Time:
    Monday – Friday, with off shift visibility and on call 24/7 including weekends to support the needs to the unit.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Manage, coordinate, and participate in administrative and clinical activities related to a nursing program or hospital unit.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, supervise staff, and develop policies and procedures aligned with program objectives.
  • Administer and coordinate operational activities and resolve operating issues in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate program or unit goals and objectives, making policy and procedure updates as needed.
  • Determine fiscal requirements, prepare budget recommendations, monitor expenditures, and authorize program spending.
  • Maintain communication among ancillary departments, physicians, nursing personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Plan and conduct staff meetings, training, and employee orientation programs to ensure compliance and development.
  • Oversee personnel actions, resource management, records, reports, and documentation for program evaluation.
What You Will Need
  • BSN Required
  • 3 years of nursing experience
  • Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina required.
  • BLS required.
  • Demonstrated supervision and staff leadership skills.
  • Experience with scheduling and workforce coordination.
