** Job Description
** Join our dynamic employee health clinic in Durham, North Carolina as an Occupational Health Registered Nurse. Candidates must hold an active North Carolina nursing license, possess a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience (preferably in occupational health), and have a current BLS certification. Responsibilities include managing work-related injuries, conducting medical surveillance programs, and promoting wellness initiatives. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
Our ideal candidate is dynamic and resilient, both clinically experienced and proficient and can work autonomously as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in Emergency Care is a plus. A strong focus on teamwork and excellent communication skills are required as the successful candidate must be able to interact collaboratively with colleagues in the clinic but also with employees at all levels in the organization.
Must have a strong working knowledge of computers including Microsoft 365 suite and electronic medical records.
** Responsibilities
* * include, but are not limited to:
* Occupational Health Registered Nurse position in a dynamic employee health clinic. The position is in person, Monday to Friday 11:00 am – 7:30 pm, with potential for after hours on-call coverage. Position reports to Associate Director Global Employee Health, collaborates with multidisciplinary team including Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician, and Medical Assistant.
* Administer medical surveillance programs, working closely with safety and key stakeholders: reviewing questionnaires, administering vaccinations, collecting lab specimens, testing vision, performing audiometry and spirometry, monitoring compliance, and assessing outcomes of testing.
* Case management of work-related injuries in collaboration with Nurse Practitioner, Physician, and Workers Compensation Third Party Administrator.
* Management of occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries including medical emergencies: triage, perform nursing interventions, referral to the appropriate level of care.
* Assessment of employees returning to work from personal and work-related absences.
* Wellness activities including flu vaccination clinics and other company sponsored events.
** Required Education
*** Must have a HS Diploma or GED and a nursing degree from an accredited nursing program with a BSN preferred.
** Experience/Requirements
*** Must have an active North Carolina nursing license in good standing and a minimum of 5 years nursing clinical experience, preferably in occupational health, emergency department, or related fields. Occupational Health experience with North Carolina workers compensation desirable.
* BLS certification required. ACLS certification preferred.#MSJR
