Our Unit Specializes In Caring For Patients Requiring- Postoperative Cardiothoracic Surgery Recovery
- Complex Vascular Surgery Recovery
- Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
- Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring
- Mechanical Circulatory Support
- Intensive Care Interventions for Critically Ill Patients
- High-Acuity Cardiovascular Critical Care
You’ll care for a diverse patient population ranging from young adults to geriatric patients, providing comprehensive critical care during some of their most vulnerable moments.
Care is delivered through a collaborative interdisciplinary team model that includes Clinical Nurses, physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), pharmacists, respiratory therapists, perfusionists, care managers, chaplains, patient care technicians, and other specialized cardiovascular care team members committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
What You’ll Do- Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based critical care to postoperative cardiovascular surgery patients
- Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced cardiovascular support therapies
- Provide care for ECMO and other specialized critical care interventions
- Assess, recognize, and respond rapidly to changing patient conditions
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the recovery process
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
- Mentor and support fellow nurses while fostering a positive team environment

- Current RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification (or willingness to obtain per unit requirements)
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
- ICU, Surgical ICU, CVICU, or Critical Care experience
- Experience caring for postoperative cardiovascular surgery patients
- Exposure to ECMO, ventilator management, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
- Passion for cardiovascular critical care and continuous learning
- Specialized cardiovascular surgical critical care experience
