Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Oncology

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring pediatric oncology experience and NC or Compact RN licensure.

• Active NC or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS, PALS, Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC), and APHON certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Pediatric oncology experience required
• Experience with chemotherapy administration, biotherapy, and management of oncologic emergencies
• Skilled in IV therapy, central line/port care, and PICC line management
• Experience managing bone marrow transplant patients, including graft-versus-host disease and stem cell therapies
• Knowledge of pain management techniques including PCA pumps and IV push narcotics
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Oncology unit setting specializing in pediatric hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant care
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Requires working every other weekend
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• 13-week assignment length
• Provide comprehensive care to pediatric oncology and BMT patients, including chemotherapy administration and symptom management
• Collaborate closely with the pediatric care team to support patient and family education
• Manage oncologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome, anaphylaxis, and sepsis
• Administer blood products, coagulation factors, antifungals, and antivirals as needed
• Perform wound care, chest tube management, and central line care
• Maintain neutropenic precautions and proper isolation/PPE protocols
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (10/31-3/31) with no exemptions
