Part-time Volunteer

Jireh Family Farm is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Part‑Time Volunteers to support our mission of sustainable farming and community engagement. This volunteer role involves hands‑on participation in animal husbandry, land management, and gardening activities. Volunteers will play a vital role in maintaining the farm’s operations while gaining valuable experience in sustainable agriculture. The ideal candidate is passionate about farming, eager to learn, and committed to contributing to our farm’s mission.

In order to be considered for this position, APPLICANTS MUST COMMIT TO A TERM OF 60 DAYS.

Animal Husbandry
:
Assist with feeding and watering livestock and poultry, ensuring animals are cared for according to farm protocols.

Egg Collection
:
Collect eggs from poultry, handling and storing them properly to maintain quality.

Grounds Maintenance
:
Support tasks such as cleaning animal pens, mowing grass, weeding, and maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of farm grounds.

Land Rotation
:
Participate in rotational grazing practices, including moving livestock to designated areas to promote soil health and sustainable land use.

Gardening
:
Assist with planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting in the farm’s garden to support the production of fresh produce.

General Support
:
Engage in various farm activities as needed, contributing to the overall operations and mission of Jireh Family Farm.

Passion for sustainable farming, animal care, and environmental stewardship.

Willingness to learn and follow farm protocols.

Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Positive attitude, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.

No prior farming experience required; training will be provided.

Availability to volunteer on a regular part-time schedule, including weekends.

Part‑time, flexible schedule (approximately 5-10 hours per week, to be coordinated with farm staff).

Weekend availability is preferred to align with farm needs.
