Key Responsibilities
- Animal Care: Feeding, watering, walking, exercising, grooming (bathing, nail trims), providing enrichment (playtime, cuddles).
- Cleaning & Sanitation: Deep cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, runs, and common areas; laundry; washing bowls; waste cleanup.
- Health Monitoring: Observing animals for signs of illness, injury, or stress; reporting concerns to veterinarians/supervisors; administering medications as instructed.
- Record Keeping: Documenting feeding, medication, behavior, and health notes.
- Client Interaction (Shelters/Boarding): Checking animals in/out, processing payments, assisting pet owners, maintaining confidentiality.
