Overview

Animal Health and Wellness Hospital is a privately owned, 3‑doctor small‑animal practice located in Winston‑Salem, NC. With rapid growth, the team seeks a dedicated DVM to join a collaborative, animal‑focused environment.

Part‑time DVM position. Salary is dependent on days and hours worked.

• Deliver high‑quality medical care to dogs, cats, and, if desired, exotic pets.
• Conduct 30‑minute appointments, including same‑day sick visits and drop‑off patients.
• Assist with diagnostics: take radiographs, draw blood, perform IV access, intubate surgical patients, and run in‑house blood analyzers.
• Participate in soft‑tissue surgical procedures; training will be provided for perineal urethrostomies and other procedures performed by senior veterinarians.
• Support staff through mentorship and collaboration with a 3:1 staff‑to‑doctor ratio.
• Manage a daily schedule that includes a 2‑hour lunch break and final appointment at 5:00 pm.
• Adhere to company standards of patient care, customer service, and continuing education.

• Registered DVM in good standing.
• Interest in surgery is welcome but not required; ability to learn advanced soft‑tissue techniques is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
• Willingness to work part‑time hours and adapt to a 30‑minute appointment schedule.
