Seeking a Senior Director of Quality to lead and elevate company-wide quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) functions across diverse design-build projects. The successful candidate will be a strategic quality leader with deep construction industry experience and a track record of advancing quality systems, standards compliance and continuous improvement across large, complex builds.
Key Responsibilities- Define and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with best practices for design-build delivery.
- Partner with project leadership to integrate quality objectives into project planning, execution and close-out phases.
- Establish and lead company-wide QA/QC policies, procedures, metrics, tools and reporting structures.
- Conduct internal audits, risk assessments and field inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
- Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions and preventive strategies for quality issues across regions and project teams.
- Mentor and develop quality personnel, build capability across functional teams and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Advise executive leadership on quality risks, strategic planning and continual improvement initiatives.
- Influence suppliers, subcontractors and partners to uphold ARCO quality standards through procurement and contract management practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive quality leadership experience within construction, design-build or related infrastructure delivery environments.
- Demonstrated success building and ope rationalising quality systems across multiple project types (warehouse, industrial, retrofit, manufacturing, cold storage, commercial).
- Strong working knowledge of quality methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, ISO 9001 or equivalent) and industry compliance standards.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across geographically dispersed projects.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and executive reporting capabilities.
- Proficiency with quality management tools, data analytics and audit systems.
- Experience working in design-build environments where quality intersects both design and construction disciplines.
- Track record of reducing rework, defects and non-conformance costs through systemic quality improvements.
- Experience with large-scale industrial and commercial projects, including tenant improvements and capital projects.
