Position: Quality Control Associate I
Job Description

Location: Research Triangle Park, NC

Job Title: Quality Control Associate I

Duration: 1 Year+

Summary:

The Quality Control Associate I supports key functional, tactical, and operational aspects of the Quality Control Chemistry group.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform QC Raw Material sampling and testing, including all associated activities.
  • Support sampling, training, testing of raw materials, transfer qualification, validation activities, and maintain compliant cGMP documentation.
  • Provide technical support as a subject matter expert in key functional areas.
  • Process documentation and computer system entries.
  • Apply understanding of Quality Systems in daily functions.
  • Adhere to GLP/GMP requirements and understand FDA/EMEA regulations.
  • Interact effectively with Quality management, support investigations, and participate in employee training and compliance activities.
  • Work effectively within the team and across the site, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Support activities such as interviewing, training, and corrective actions.
  • Work weekends and overtime as required.
    • Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field with 1-2 years of experience, or Associate degree/High School Diploma with equivalent experience (typically 3+ years).
    • Knowledge of scientific principles and data analysis.
    • Experience with laboratory instrumentation (HPLC, GC, UV-vis, Dissolution, FT-IR).
    • Understanding of cGMP/cGLP requirements and laboratory safety.
    • Ability to lift 10-20 pounds and stand for extended periods.
    • Exposure to chemicals, dust, fumes, and hazardous waste.

    Weekend and overtime work may be required.
