Quality Specialist

Automotive Quality Engineer / Quality Manager - Relocation available

We are partnering with multiple automotive manufacturers and suppliers across the Midwest and Southern United States to identify experienced Quality Engineers and Quality Managers
. These opportunities support a variety of manufacturing environments and product lines, with responsibilities ranging from quality assurance and customer support to leading quality teams and driving plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives.

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, processes, and procedures.
• Support internal manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with customer and industry quality standards.
• Lead or participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
• Utilize quality tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and 8D.
• Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams.
• Support customer launches, engineering changes, and new product introductions.
• Conduct internal audits and support customer, supplier, and IATF audits.
• Monitor key quality metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, reports, and performance metrics.
• For management-level opportunities, provide leadership, mentoring, and development of quality personnel while supporting strategic quality initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field highly preferred.
• 2+ years of automotive quality experience for engineering roles; management experience preferred for leadership positions.
• Experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment (Tier 1, Tier 2, or OEM preferred).
• Strong understanding of automotive quality systems and core tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and GD&T.
• Experience with customer-specific requirements and quality problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and applicable quality standards.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with quality data analysis software (Minitab, InfinityQS, etc.) is a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or other quality certifications are a plus.
