Position Overview
The College of Agricultural Sciences, Penn State Extension is seeking a part‑time Field and Forage Crops Intern. The position is based in Wayne County with travel to Lackawanna, Pike, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties.
Job Responsibilities- Crop scouting
- Field data collection
- Research trial support
- Farm visits and client support
- Agricultural science background
- Access to a motor vehicle
- Valid driver’s license and successful motor vehicle records check
- Standard background check
- Part‑time, 30 hours per week for a short‑term period
- Hours flexible to applicant’s needs
- Starting rate of $17.75 per hour, plus travel expenses
- Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location
