Primary Work Address: MSRB 1, Suite 301, Research Drive, Durham, NC, 27710

About the role

This position will involve working closely with a highly experienced Assistant Professor in the lab to develop small‑molecule modulators of GPCRs and signaling proteins, and to investigate the structural basis underlying mechanisms of drug action and effector interactions using pharmacological and structural biology approaches, including cryo‑electron microscopy, with responsibilities including protein purification, preparation of samples for cryo‑EM studies, and structural data analysis.

Candidates who demonstrate responsibility, initiative, and a strong drive to learn and succeed in a collaborative environment are especially encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates should be available to join the lab immediately, with a preference for individuals able to make a sustained commitment.

The position is also well suited for enthusiastic senior undergraduate students, as well as post‑bac or gap‑year trainees, particularly those planning to pursue MD, PhD, or MD/PhD training, as past trainees from this position have gone on to leading universities nationwide.
