Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Cannabis Consultant Retail Associate to join our Durham team. This part‑time position focuses on evening and weekend shifts and requires a strong sense of independence, accountability, and customer engagement.

• Provide exceptional customer service, guiding guests on cannabinoids and product selection for conditions such as inflammation, pain, stress, insomnia, and digestive discomfort.
• Accurately perform cash handling and register operations.
• Manage inventory for both in‑store and online platforms, including receiving, transfers, and stock checks.
• Maintain a clean and organized store, including glass cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining displays.
• Perform opening and closing duties independently.
• Support marketing, product research, and online customer inquiries.
• Stay proactive and productive during slower periods with research, marketing, or customer education efforts.

• Starting pay: $15/hour during the 3‑month probationary period.
• Post‑probation pay: $16/hour upon successful completion.

• Learn all operational systems, customer service protocols, and product education standards.
• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and consistency in attendance.
• Independently open and close the store.

• No vacation or sick pay during probationary phase.
• Upon successful completion, employees move into regular part‑time status with benefits eligibility and pay increase.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Retail, sales, or cannabis industry experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cannabinoids and their effects (CBD, CBG, THC, etc.).
• Ability to multitask and stay productive with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and consistent availability for evenings and weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Job Type: Part‑time (Evenings & Weekends)
Pay: $15.00/hour (increases to $16.00/hour after probation)
