Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support POP MART’s expansion across the United States. The role focuses on store opening and closing operations, ensuring all store activities run smoothly and providing an exceptional in‑store experience. The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager and collaborates closely with the team to continuously improve store processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Brand Associate teams by setting expectations, goals, and fostering talent development.
  • Act as the on‑duty manager in store, delivering results while creating a positive customer and employee experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment for customers, employees, and products.
  • Set high store standards that reflect the company brand image, values, and culture.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert on POP MART’s core product lines, character catalogs, and company history.
  • Support marketing events such as in‑store activations, pop‑up events, conventions, and new store openings.
  • Assist with Robo Shop operations, coordinating with store and external partners as needed.
  • Improve sales performance by meeting key metrics including store conversion, units per transaction, and dollar value per transaction.
  • Drive sales of key product categories such as blind boxes, MEGA, and accessories.
  • Operate flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Execute visual merchandising directives, install marketing decals, props, and set up planograms or fixtures.
  • Remerchandise sales floor based on product sell‑through data.
  • Work closely with Inventory ASM to maintain back‑of‑house and warehouse inventory levels.
  • Perform back‑of‑house organization, inventory management, receiving/transferring of goods, and routine inventory auditing.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift, carry, and move merchandise up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
  • Bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders or step stools safely.
  • Perform repetitive tasks such as unpacking boxes, tagging items, and stocking shelves.
  • Work in a fast‑paced environment that may require quick movements and multitasking.
  • Adapt to varying temperature conditions, including stockroom and receiving areas.
  • Operate standard stockroom tools (e.g., box cutters) with manual dexterity.
Qualifications
  • Retail industry knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • More than 2 years of store leadership experience.
  • Strong ethical foundation, integrity, and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.
  • Data‑driven mindset: use metrics to support decisions and implement solutions.
  • Adaptability to fast‑paced and constantly evolving environments.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Minimum age 18.
