Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) DURHAM, NC 27705

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed.

SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS
  • Your starting hourly pay rate is $12.50 - $14.50 per hour, depending on your skills and experience.
  • Paid training includes live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
  • Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and other coverage.

Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.

  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 5–12 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required

YOUR

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will perform service work in the Hallmark departments of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role consists of three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. You will use technology for communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital.
  • Holiday support: Lead up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours during the work week, including the holiday itself and weekends.
  • Department resets: As part of a team, you may handle installations and tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision: You are part of Hallmark’s field organization network and may support other team members in their territories.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role is physically demanding. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds during the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders throughout the workday.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Part‑time employees with a work schedule of less than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits such as medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage.
