Position Summary

This position is a key member service role responsible for providing member assistance, maintaining checkout and entrance areas, handling merchandise, and ensuring a safe shopping environment. Responsibilities include managing member purchases, assisting with payments, returns, and refunds, and conducting safety sweeps. The associate also supports other members by locating merchandise, arranging displays, and preventing shrinkage, while maintaining safety and security awareness.

• Provide member service and guide members in the use of self‑service technology.
• Maintain checkout, entrance, and exit areas and keep merchandise well‑arranged.
• Process member purchases, handle payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Follow company safety standards, conduct safety sweeps, and report unsafe situations.
• Identify and prevent shrinkage and report damages.
• Execute emergency response procedures and maintain documentation.
• Assist in training new associates on company processes, tools, and programs.
• Support continuous learning and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with managers, co‑workers, and partners to meet deadlines and improve operations.
• Promote Sam’s Club products and services and assist members with purchasing decisions.
• Maintain a safe shopping environment and monitor for potential criminal activity.

• Retail experience including operating front‑end equipment such as a cash register.
• Experience working with mobile retail applications.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00, inclusive of any applicable premium compensation ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage.
