Job Overview

Retail Crew Member position at Kitty Hawk Kites in Fort Walton, FL. This role requires frontline customer service and support in a retail environment at the beach.

• Provide enthusiastic, professional customer service at all times.
• Ring up customer sales accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain the appearance and organization of the register area.
• Stay aware of current promotions and advertisements.
• Adhere to all company policies and guidelines.
• Maintain the sales floor, including folding shirts, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning restrooms.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of one-year relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience in the retail field preferred.

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn a register.
• Basic math skills.
• Effective communication with coworkers and guests.
• Quick and accurate learning of tasks.
• Multitasking ability.

• Work is generally in an indoor controlled environment; moderate noise level.
• May be requested to work overtime and weekends during the company's in‑season period.

• Approximately one‑third of time climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; one‑third to two‑thirds of time standing, walking, sitting, and reaching.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Continues computer work, cash register work, sales floor work, events work, and mail order work.
