About this vacancy
In close cooperation with headquarters in Austria and the existing U.S. service organization, you will play a key role in further developing and expanding Haidlmair’s mold business in the United States. As an experienced technical sales professional in molds for the material handling, packaging, and logistics industries, you will leverage your industry network, strong technical understanding of mold design and construction, and proven business development capabilities to grow new and existing customer relationships.
You will report directly to the Head of Global Sales in Austria and work closely with U.S. service leadership as well as engineering and project teams position is ideally based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area; however, a hybrid or home‑office arrangement is available for the right candidate with strong market access and the ability to support national sales responsibilities.

Primaryresponsibilities
- Immediately take ownership of U.S. sales activities by developing existing customer relationships and identifying and qualifying new target accounts.
- Define and execute a strategic U.S. sales plan in close cooperation with the Global Head of Sales in Austria.
- Organize and deliver technical sales presentations at customer locations to support opportunity development and order acquisition.
- Coordinate all sales and technical projects with project managers and engineers in Austria and with the U.S. service organization.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts in close cooperation with internal experts in Austria.
- Prepare technical and commercial documentation, cost calculations, and quotations, including material, labor, project execution, and service elements.
- Support and coordinate assigned quality management processes and related documentation.
- Prepare sales forecasts and input for strategic planning and budgeting activities.
- Represent Haidlmair at industry associations, trade fairs, conferences, and other relevant marketing and networking events.
Skills and Abilities
- Technical education at bachelor level or equivalent hands‑on technical experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of injection mold design and construction is essential.
- Experience with large‑scale molds and thin‑wall applications is a significant advantage.
- Proven experience selling molds into the injection molding industry within the material handling, packaging, and logistics segments.
- Established and active industry network within the relevant target markets.
- Additional technical sales experience in automotive injection molding (Tier 1 and/or OEM) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated success in identifying, winning, and closing new business opportunities.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience handling individual sales contracts with values reaching up to approximately USD $3 million.
- Knowledge of industry quality standards, core quality tools, and common business practices is advantageous.
- Familiarity with quotation processes, costing methodologies, and sales‑related documentation.
- Understanding project management processes and tools is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software is preferred.
- Familiarity with common commercial contracts and warranty expectations is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel regularly to customers and prospective locations.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally, including to Austria.
- German language skills are not required but would be considered a strong advantage.
