Position: ViiV Healthcare (GSK) Director of Performance (IC) & Engagement

ViiV is seeking an experienced Director of Performance and Engagement. This role is based in Durham, NC (RTP Area).

Performance and Engagement are deeply interlinked; we seek a candidate who can build trust within our salesforce while strategically transforming performance goals into credible engagement models.

Performance Responsibilities
  • Own and lead the Incentive Compensation process with 2 direct reports and an external vendor.
  • Monitor compliance and provide risk mitigation plans throughout the process.
  • Lead IC governance to secure approval of IC goals and methodology.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, Compliance, Corporate and other stakeholders across the organization.
  • Design, build and maintain incentive programs for the sales force.
  • Manage vendor relationships and define service level targets to monitor vendor performance.
  • Communicate, educate and capture feedback from sales teams.
  • Automate data and reporting across teams.
  • Own communication with key stakeholders and propose solutions and alternatives to leadership.
  • Identify and eliminate overlaps with the Training organization.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leaders and Market Development Directors to advance projects that improve performance.
  • Define special incentives to drive performance.
Engagement Responsibilities
  • Build relationships, trust and empathy with the sales force and maintain a presence in the field.
  • Lead initiatives to embed the ViiV culture throughout the organization.
  • Create a structured process to engage and communicate with the sales force.
  • Ensure fairness and transparency in the IC process and decision-making.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 2 years of pharmaceutical experience.
  • Experience managing incentive compensation.
  • Experience with sales data and sources in the US.
  • Leadership experience in matrix organizations.
  • Skill in communicating messages to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or similar advanced degree.
  • At least 2 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Specific experience with injectables and/or HIV.
  • First line sales leader experience or equivalent.
  • Highly independent and proactive.
  • Marketing experience.
  • Experience managing teams and people.
  • Background in consulting.
  • Background in customer engagement, service, and training.
  • Education in data science.
