- Experience Selling an Engineering Service (Not Product) - software, industrial automation, smart manufacturing solutions, or operational technology services in manufacturing.

This role lies within the Business Development team, reporting to the Director of Business Development for the Life Sciences vertical. The role is responsible for defining and leading the business development strategy within the Life Sciences industry, managing a portfolio of strategic and focused accounts, and driving the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure. The incumbent will work collaboratively across service and product delivery teams to identify and execute growth opportunities, maintain a healthy sales pipeline, and ensure forecast accuracy.
The role demands exceptional communication, networking, and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on ethical practices and long-term client success.
- Manage and own the Life Sciences vertical industry and develop effective sales strategies.
- Develop and maintain an account plan to achieve annual goals and sales forecasts within the assigned account portfolio.
- Support the Director of Business Development in achieving annual goals and sales forecasts within the vertical industry.
- Identify opportunities to deliver value by understanding strategic motivators, key stakeholders, and buying processes.
- Serve as account owner for 1 Strategic Account, 10-15 Focused Accounts, and 3-5 Target Accounts.
- Establish new and grow existing customer relationships to secure contracts that meet assigned sales quotas and targets.
- Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to deal closure.
- Identify and prospect target accounts for new business within the Life Sciences vertical using direct and indirect methods.
- Consult with prospects on business challenges, requirements, and cost-benefit options across service offerings.
- Collaborate with delivery, engineering, technical, operations, and product teams to address customer requirements and opportunities.
- Maintain a high level of domain knowledge relevant to the Life Sciences industry for meaningful client conversations.
- Utilize Salesforce to create and manage opportunities, accounts, and contacts.
- Use Microsoft Teams to manage internal communication for each account and opportunity.
- Ensure the sales pipeline remains healthy and drive forecast accuracy on an ongoing basis.
