Essential Job Functions
- Deliver on corporate objectives specific to territory.
- Develop, evolve, and execute territory and account level business plans with RBD and internal business partners.
- Provide timely recommendations to eliminate/minimize barriers based on marketplace trends, opportunities/threats, competitive information, etc.
- Leverage internal expertise to maximize field impact.
- Partner with RBD, Channel/Trade & Market Access Teams, and Sales Representatives to develop territory-specific strategies to ensure patient access to Xeris products.
- Manage territory budget and resource allocations to maximize ROI.
- Represent Xeris to internal and external customers by demonstrating value and solutions for customers and patients.
- Collaborate with peers, marketing, and training to share information and implement initiatives/strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships and regular communications with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Professionally and ethically represent Xeris to external customers (e.g., hospitals, IDNs, physicians/providers, local diabetes chapters) and advance patient care/outcomes.
- Represent Xeris internally and maintain professionalism within/beyond the region.
- Own ongoing professional development and leverage internal training.
- Navigate complex, multi-layered accounts; communicate and engage customers using Xeris resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Business/Marketing, or related field.
- 2+ years in field commercial positions (sales rep, hospital rep, sales trainer, marketing) OR 5+ years in bioscience commercial positions (sales rep, hospital rep, sales training, marketing, regional account manager).
- Valid US state-issued driver’s license.
- Highly desirable: recent experience in bioscience and/or diabetes.
- Ability to create and execute business plans; adjust to meet goals.
- Proficient with key data and metrics.
- Thrives in ambiguity; adapts quickly and asks questions.
- Competencies:
self-directed, organizational, verbal/written communication, time management, presentation, project management, problem solving, negotiation, influencer, adaptability.
- Periodic evening/weekend work; travel minimally 20% with vehicle travel as needed.
- Anticipated base salary range: $85,000–$140,000.
