The IoT AMER Sales Acceleration team is at the forefront of Cisco's digital transformation strategy. As a Virtual Account Executive, you will act as a strategic partner to our public sector clients, driving the adoption of Cisco's IoT portfolio. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and managing the full sales cycle within your assigned territory. Your work will directly impact how public sector entities modernize their infrastructure, from smart city initiatives to secure campus connectivity.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, and channel partners to design comprehensive solutions that meet the unique regulatory and technical requirements of the US Public Sector.

• 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the technology sector.
• Proven track record of managing a sales pipeline and achieving revenue targets.
• Strong understanding of the US Public Sector landscape, including procurement processes and agency-specific requirements.
• Proficiency in virtual selling tools, CRM platforms (such as Salesforce), and digital collaboration technologies.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in sales, business development, or a related field.

• Experience selling IoT, networking, or security solutions.
• Familiarity with government contracting vehicles and compliance standards.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical decision-makers.
• A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a remote, distributed team environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
