Director/Head of Long Term Care Market Segment

Reporting Relationship: This role reports to the VP/GM Pharmacy Automation, US Region.
Job Summary
This is an elevated national leadership role responsible for leading the Long-Term Care market segment across the United States. The Vice President, Long Term Care Market Segment will oversee all Long-Term Care market segment team members nationally and will be accountable for driving strategy, commercial execution, team performance, customer engagement, and revenue growth across the segment. This role may be based anywhere in the U.S., preferably in a major metropolitan area with access to a large airport within reasonable driving distance.
- Responsible for national commercial leadership of the Long-Term Care market segment for Pharmacy Automation
- Provides leadership, coaching and mentorship to Long Term Care market segment sales executives and professional staff across the U.S.
- Builds and implements comprehensive national strategies to exceed Long-Term Care market segment sales and financial objectives
- Drives significant Long-Term Care market segment revenue growth through disciplined strategy execution, strong pipeline development and focused customer engagement
- Owns quarterly forecasting discipline for the Long-Term Care segment, ensuring forecast accuracy, clear visibility to risks and opportunities, and consistent delivery against commitments
- Crafts and drives effective strategies to develop, maintain and convert a strong national sales pipeline within the Long-Term Care segment
- Brings deep Long-Term Care market expertise, broad healthcare business knowledge and strong customer relationships across national and regional accounts
- Develops valuable solutions that meet customer business needs and shares key findings with others
- Develops broad influence through a robust set of internal/external relationships across the organization; promotes win-win outcomes within, among and across teams, using the different perspectives of others to achieve results
- Defines clear roles, responsibilities and operating models to build organizational capability across the national Long-Term Care team
- Crafts and implements succession plan to develop leadership talent within the Long-Term Care market segment and attract talent from outside the organization
- Makes decisions, often difficult and/or unpopular, that support the organization strategy; influences others to support the decisions
- Role models BD high ethical standards and code of conduct
- Encourages others to go above and beyond objectives daily through own passion and energy
- Leads national resources to ensure sales and financial objectives are met, leveraging knowledge of competitive advantage, market dynamics and profit drivers
- Anticipates internal/external business issues to align priorities, strategies and tactics
- Develops executive-level relationships with key internal and external customers to exceed sales objectives, identify emerging needs and address business challenges in the Long-Term Care market
- Resolves complex problems
- Influences customer and/or organizational leadership through effective listening and communication to exceed objectives
- Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred
- 10+ years of healthcare commercial leadership experience, with demonstrated success leading high-performing teams across a national or multi-region organization
- Ability to travel nationally, approximately 60% - 75% of time, based on business needs and candidate location to include covering weekend trade shows occasionally.
- Excellent planning, forecasting, negotiation and presentation skills
