Member Sales Manager
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Member Sales Manager for a nonprofit organization in the Durham, NC area.
This is a Full-Time position with an annual salary of $50,000- PLUS annual commission earning potential of an additional $15,000-$20,000.
As the Members Sales Manager, you will represent the organization with business leaders, vendors, sponsors, and community organizations, while espousing the benefits of sponsoring/investing. This will involve preparing proposals and pricing, negotiating agreements, drafting contracts, and cultivating relationships.
Responsibilities Include:
- Research and develop a list of potential organization sponsors
- Maintain relationships with key community and business leaders, and leverage those relationships in sponsorship efforts
- Engage with program managers to develop strategy for sponsorship sales
- Penetrate customer targets to generate proposals and close sales
- Manage and implement sponsor benefits, including providing onsite support at programs and events
- Working with Marketing and Communications teams to ensure all sales processes are integrated and strategic
- Provide sales skills and expertise to staff by building, developing, leading, and managing various teams capable of carrying out organization strategies and goals
- Anticipate the needs of investors and sponsors to understand how best to serve them
- Work across departmental lines to ensure seamless coordination and support of investors and sponsors
Desired Qualifications:
- Three years or more of work experience in sales and event management; experience in a nonprofit is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business administration or related field;
Master's degree is a plus - Strong business acumen, relationship management and communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of the Triangle area business community
- Strong customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (for special events)
