Bioinformatics Scientist to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Durham, NC.
This is an on-site position, with a potential to work a hybrid schedule.

POSITION SUMMARY

Support, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of multiple first-in-human and phase II studies in inpatient and outpatient areas within the Endocrinology specialty.

TASKS/SERVICES
  • Perform clinical trials duties in accordance with standards of nursing practice and the Code of Ethics
  • Conduct analyses on Next Gen sequencing data including data derived in ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, miRNA-Seq and other experimental models.
  • Conduct analysis and interpretation on data from genomic platforms including expression, exon, tiling, promoter and others array types.
  • Conduct data analysis and interpretation on other large data types in genomic context.
  • Establish and maintain work flows including experimental design, analyses of data quality, genome and meta-genome integration and others.
  • Write utility scripts, macros and or custom programs or algorithms in support of biological discovery.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of Masters Degree required, with Ph.D. preferred in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology or a related biological/life science discipline.
