As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Monitor in Durham, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in manufacturing and industrial environments and related industries. This is a Part-Time security role with scheduling flexibility. You can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, and you may operate company vehicles as part of patrol duties.

Pay Rate: $18.62 / Hour
Job Schedule: Saturday 08:00 AM – 08:00 PM;
Sunday 08:00 AM – 08:00 PM
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences as directed by site procedures.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and/or employees as needed.
- Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions provided by Allied Universal and the client for the manufacturing and industrial environment.
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
